June, Not Prune.

June, Not Prune.

We don’t need to tell you about the importance of SPF in the summer months. Noone wants to prematurely age! However, we all have off and forgetful days and these are the days you need to be caring for your skin that little bit more! The key here, Hydration!

What will I need?

  • Cucumber – Hydrating, Soothing and helps to combat premature ageing
  • Aloe Vera – Soothing, Anti-inflammatory and Hydrating
  • Tomato – Believed to help fight cellular damage, moisturising and soothes sunburn
During such warm and humid months (lol, not in the UK) our skin can become oilier than usual with the perspiration coupled with, you guessed it, Dehydration. Dehydrated, Dry Skin can lack lustre, often has a grey tinge and doesn’t tend to start out this way but as the day continues, gets greasier and an oilier sheen across the T- Zone.

Step 1

Use your favourite Cleanser or use our Superfood Yoghurt Cleanser from May and always, A L W A Y S cleanse twice. Once you have blotted your skin and applied your toner, it’s time to DIY Masque!

Take half a Cucumber and either whizz it up in a blender into a paste or, take out some frustrations in a Pestle and Mortar. Next, add two Tablespoons of Aloe Vera gel or, personally we prefer this, use fresh Aloe Vera, slice into the flesh and scrape out what you can with a spoon. Lastly, add in half a mushed-up Tomato and apply the paste to your face. Netflix will be key here and we recommend a towel draped over your shoulder in-case any drips off!

Remove using warm water, tone and go in with your serums, moisturisers and SPF’s!
