New Additions: Groovy Graduates

New Additions: Groovy Graduates

Here at Little Women, we love new additions to the team. So, when we scored double last week, we just had to share our news. Here is what our two graduates had to say:
Harriet:

I am a 23-year-old Fashion, Textiles and Accessory graduate from De Montfort University. I loved my degree as I am a creative person and have always had an interest in the fashion industry. I specialised in printed textiles - surface, colour and pattern- because it allowed me to be more hands-own, with placement and fashion being at the heart of my core creative strengths.

For the last 4 years, I have worked for the high-street retailer Accessorize. When I graduated, in the summer this year, I was promoted to a supervisor position. My career has always been in customer- service however I have always wanted to further my career into more of a creative job role.

I applied for the little Women Lingerie Assistant position online. I wanted to be a part of a fashion business environment to gain experience and knowledge. I am passionate and excited to further my career working for Little Women.

Katie:

Hi there! I am a 22-year-old graduate from Nottingham Trent University. I studied Communication and Society and History. In essence, I did a lot of writing. I loved my degree and everything that came with it, yet my career landed me firmly in Digital Marketing, despite not going to university for that particular path.

I applied to Little Women through the Graduate internship scheme that NTU are running. They want to partner with small and medium sized businesses, as well as graduates, to marry the potential that both can offer the other. Through the Innovation Community Lab (ICL) Programme, graduates are offered four hours a month of specialist training to, in turn, feed back into our partnered businesses. Similarly, we are offered a mentor that spends a minimum of an hour a month with us; giving us chance to pick the brains of an industry specialist.

I am expectant for all that Little Women can offer me in terms of career development. From working on strategy, to copywriting and even design - I cannot wait to soak it all up. I want to push myself to achieve as much as I can; learning more as I go.

We are delighted for these two bright, aspirational graduates to join us as we approach 2017. We hope they hit the ground running and enjoy their time with us.

Welcome to the Team, Harriet and Katie!
