What to Watch on Netflix

It is the last weekend before December and the run-up to Christmas starts, and everyone seems to be rushing out to the shops to lose themselves in the scrum of other 'bargain' hunters. Not the Little Women team, though. We are going to be cosying up and spending some time with our family and friends in front of the TV. So get your comfies on, grab a blanket and a mug of hot chocolate and settle in for the weekend with our selection of the best things to watch on Netflix this weekend.

The Wedding Planner

One of the most romantic comedies of all time "The Wedding Planner," is a real classic.  Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey fall each other, but of course, the path of true love never runs smoothly.  Lopez's character struggles with her career as a wedding planner and McConaughey's character struggles with another love interest.

XOXO

A more modern day romance disguised as a drug-fuelled romp through the dance music scene, XOXO is worth watching along for the amazing colour filled festival with the Harajuku-neon costumed revellers; and some of the blacklit cinematography is simply stunning. Sincere, heartfelt and touching, if a little silly - will probably become a classic of the future.

The Little Prince

'The Little Prince' is an animated story about a little girl who learns the old story of 'The Little Prince' from her elderly and a little eccentric neighbour and along the way unlocks her creativity and imagination. One for the whole family to watch together.

A Single Man

The Little Women team love this film purely and simply because of the involvement of Tom Ford. The fashion heavyweight financed and directed this film, featuring Colin Firth and Julieanne Moore - and his involvement in the costumes can be clearly seen.

Legally Blonde

This girl-power classic is a must watch. Featuring Reese Weatherspoon as the underestimated but purposeful Elle Woods it follows this Malibu-Barbie type who enrolls at Harvard Law School in an effort to win back her ex-boyfriend. Powerful stuff!

Good Will Hunting

One of those films that everyone should watch at least once, so if you haven't watched it yet do so this weekend! Both Robin Williams and Matt Damon won an Oscar for their performances - and the script was actually written by Damon and his best friend Ben Affleck.

Sing Street

An uplifting film that you may not have heard of, this spectacular journey back to the 1980s will have you singing along in no time! Packed full of some of the best music from that era, it also features a few original toe-tappers as well. Will definitely put a smile on your face.

So that's our round-up of what we are watching this weekend. Why not head over to our Facebook Page or Twitter and let us know what you're watching?
